2. Processing Fee - $50.00 money order only. In order to process your record, a money order made payable to Mountainside Hospital School of Nursing must be sent with your application. If you are not accepted or do not enter the school for any reason, this fee will not be refunded.
Applications received with checks instead of money orders will be returned unprocessed.
3. Official High School and GED Records
A. Contact your high school to send an official high school transcript (including class rank and all SAT and standardized test results) to the School of Nursing. Seniors please ask that your current classes be listed with any available grades. (An official, final transcript, following graduation must be sent to us to complete your file)
B. Official GED with scores must be sent directly from the State Department of Education.
4. Official Transcripts from all colleges and post-secondary institutions attended must be submitted regardless of length of attendance. Foreign transcripts must be evaluated by an approved (NACES) credentialing service at applicant’s expense.
5. International Students must forward:
A. Foreign transcripts that have been evaluated by a NACES member evaluation service.
B. TOEFL test results.
6. Two Letters of Reference are required. Use forms to request references from your school, employer(s), clergy, or health/legal professionals who have known you for at least 2 years. Letters of reference from family members and/or friends will not be accepted.
After your application, processing fee (money order), high school transcripts or GED, all college transcripts (if applicable), two letters of reference and TOEFL test scores (if applicable), have been received, you will be advised to:
- Take the NET (Nurse Entrance Test).
- Schedule a personal interview.
Please bring proof of
citizenship or residency to your interview. This may be
an official birth certificate (if born in the United States) or
original copy of official verification of immigration status (if
born outside of the United States).
The Admissions/Promotions Committee will review all completed records. You will be notified of the committee’s decision in writing
